Minutes of the January 15, 2004 meeting in Indianapolis

Chairman Cassel White, Linda Barnett, Randy Barrett, Phil Hoskins, Janis Qualizza.

HEARINGS

A hearing was conducted to consider the appeal of Michael Stout, a student at Park Tudor High School. Michael was declared to have limited eligibility on the basis of Rule 19-6.2. A hearing was requested in order to appeal the ruling and obtain full eligibility. Following the hearing, legal counsel for the student’s family and for the IHSAA submitted findings of fact. Having analyzed all of the available data, IHSAA Review Committee voted to uphold the decision of the Commissioner.

A hearing was conducted to consider the appeal of Kyle Gibson, a student at Greenfield-Central High School. Kyle was declared ineligible on the basis of Rule 19-4. A hearing was requested in order to appeal the ruling and obtain full eligibility. Following the hearing, legal counsel for the student’s family and for the IHSAA submitted findings of fact. Having analyzed all of the available data, IHSAA Review Committee voted to uphold the decision of the Commissioner.
